Hazbin Hotel's Showrunner Has Seen Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — With Some Positive Updates

The highly-awaited second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel launches on Prime Video soon, and fan speculation has been widespread.

Season 1 presents a large cast of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by musical numbers detailing their conflicts, and builds tense rivalries and emotional bonds that drive audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for the new season differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Could a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement constraining Alastor the Radio Demon? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't produce the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator commented recently. "However I feel like me being a devotee of the series implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her big-picture plan is for a five-season run of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by the production companies, which finance the series.

That might mean viewers have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how fast the new season moves, and how many of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," she adds. "There are several debut moments. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some really cool origin tales, and even basic elements, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] Audiences will experience additional musical numbers from the previously silent cast members."

The creator is well-informed of the guesses and hopes about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people make a bingo card about season 2," she says. "Naturally I won't share it, but I've actually done a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I was like, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I realized, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel season 2 launches on the streaming service on October 29.
